The best breakfast experience | Black Milk Cereal Cafe

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I agree with this saying which is why I have another breakfast inspired post on the blog. If you are a lover of cereal I think you will enjoy this place...

Black Milk Cereal Dive is Manchester's very own cereal cafe situated in the Northern Quarter of Manchester in Affleck's Palace. I had enviously eyed their Instagram page for a while, with the incredible array of edible bowls and cereals to the vast amount of sugary toppings to curb any sweet tooth, I knew I had to go and experience it for myself and I was not disappointed.

I opted for Reese's puffs, chocolate Lucky Charms and Cookie Crisp, topped off with marshmallows, M&M's, white jazzles, all covered in salted caramel sauce, served with the cutest mini bottle of milk. The combination was delicious and of course I went for the edible chocolate bowl, however sadly I didn't manage to finish this. The actual cafe was a lot smaller than I imagined with only about 6 tables in the whole place, however this made the experience a lot more cosy and welcoming. The whole idea of a cereal cafe is such a great fun and novelty idea and with so many more yummy combinations to try I will definitely be making another visit.

Have you guys ever been to a cereal cafe? Would you fancy it?

My Go-To Breakfast

As a graduate there are definitely some perks, namely leisurely breakfasts which means I can spend more time making these yummy pancakes without having to rush out the door.

With only two ingredients, these pancakes are not only delicious but also simple and healthy- Winning!
All you need is 1 ripe Banana and 2 eggs
Mash up the banana with a fork and mix together with two eggs in a bowl.
Heat up a pan with a little bit of coconut oil
Add a little bit of mixture at a time forming small round pancakes and that's it. Easy.
Serve your pancakes with any topping, I usually add blueberries and strawberries.

Enjoy!

Graduate Life

So its officially Autumn and I can't believe how quickly life has gone since I donned my graduation gown and said goodbye to Newcastle University forever.(well this is not entirely true I visited my 3rd year friend last week to party away my worries and it was fab) But after returning home again, reality has hit me. I am no longer a student where life is fun and carefree and my biggest decision was what I will be drinking for pre-drinks. For the first time in forever I have no set path to follow, no direction and all that seems to be ahead of me is adult responsibilities and a 9-5 (if I can get one).

I've been applying for grad jobs now since the start of September and the unemployment job hunt can be disheartening, especially if you keep getting knock backs from applications that you spent ages applying for, and you soon come to realise that merely having a degree, won't land you your dream job.

But I think during this confusing transitional period, it is important to remain positive and remember a few things and this is advice I need to hear too.
Try not to compare yourself to others, I know this is not easy when all over social media it seems like your friends are winning at life with their perfect 9-5 job straight out of university. But why waste time worrying and comparing, just do you, everyone's different.
You are not alone, there will be many other graduates who are in exactly the same position as you and who are all probably feeling the same.
If you are unsure what you want to do. It's okay. Take time to relax and really decide what you want as this is a big step and you don't want to rush into your future. Also when you finally do get a job, I'm pretty sure you will look back and miss these days, not setting an alarm for work everyday, free days to do whatever you please and if like me you have moved back home, spending time with your family again. It's not all bad. Make the most of it, read a book you have been meaning to read, get fit and just enjoy being young before adult life takes over.
Not having a plan can also be exciting as who knows what you will be doing in a couple of months time. I am a big believer that everything happens for a reason, so do not worry if you don't have everything figured out yet or have not yet landed that illustrious grad job, just enjoy the ride and keep on going. Lastly have fun, who want's to be a boring adult anyway?

Hope you enjoyed this post, is anyone else feeling the same after graduation?
